Cappadocia

Today we traveled to Cappadocia, a very rural and barren region of Turkey with an incredibly tiny airport, tons of unfinished buildings, and a plethora of mountains, rocks, caves, and dust. When we landed there was only one other plane at the airport and maybe two baggage guys handling all the luggage. Not too many people came through this place that often. Right off the bat we went sight-seeing, which sucked for me because I felt like shit. I woke up at three that morning with terrible diarrhea and vomiting due to food poisoning. I think it might have been the tomatoes in the delicious dinner I had the night before which the Hartogs refused to let me pay for. Anyway I ended up sleeping on the bus for the first three places we visited because I could barely walk. I know the group went to a place called Pidgeon Valley, but I don’t remember the other two since I was asleep. Finally at the last stop Mrs Hartog and I got off the bus (she had been feeling the same way I did) and we explored some of the cave houses and  wound up on a tour of one of the local’s homes. He was incredibly courteous and played a song on his Baglama. It was awesome!

Then we checked into our hotel, which was the best one on the trip in my opinion. The only downside was that I had to hear this.

PS I’m sorry the grammar on this posts sucks. I was tired.
